Rakhi Making Competition 2019
According to history, Rakshabandhan is a festival of brotherhood and unity and to keep up with the spirit of harmony, the students given a task of creating handmade rakhis. This time, our students were already busy with the preparations for FPS 2019, but they still made sure to participate in this competition as well. However, the competition quickly became a medium of celebrating the occassion as the rakhis were not put on display but the students started sharing their artwork with their friends as a token of friendship, brotherhood and unity. And honestly, we didn't mind at all.
Television industry came into India holding the hands of Doordarshan. It is one of the oldest names in the television world and one of the pillars of the entertainment industry. Our students were given an opportunity to visit the Kolkata Doordarshan office to see the working pipeline. The students were walked through the whole office and studios to see how a television program is made from the scratch.
Maac has always been very proud of it's students, the one who are present as well as the one's who have parted ways with us. So that's why in order to celebrate it's alumni, MAAC asked the students to create a design for a full wall where we could proudly flaunt our shining stars. The wall would be a great way to cherish our students who although have left the institute, have gone on to become professionals who made us proud.
Bengal is a hub of festivities, and this time around, to keep up with the spirit of Rathyatra, MAAC organised their own little Rathyatra celebrations inside the centre. The students filled up the building with their handmade Jagannath, Balaram, Subhdra idols and handmade raths. Although it was a competition, but the students made it their own festival with an atmosphere of fun and joy.
