MAAC Chowringhee, Rashbehari and Ultadanga<\/a>, are three renowned MAAC Institute in Kolkata rocked at the most prestigious 24FPS award 2019.<\/p>\n

The 17th<\/sup> Edition Of 24FPS International Awards<\/a> came to an end on 13th<\/sup> December,2019 with great pomp and show.<\/p>\n

Decembers have always been a month that whizzes past with great speed.<\/p>\n

With everyone intoxicated by the merry and relaxing atmosphere, mulling over the accomplishments and regrets of the past year.<\/p>\n

Awaiting for the newyear which is supposed to be filled with surprises and new beginnings.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

And the time is just right for giving a pat on the back of people who have worked hard throughout the year, and so comes our very own 24FPS International awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The sweat, tears and toll over months of the participating students and mentors had reached the final stage to be judged.<\/p>\n

For some background information, let me take the liberty to mention, 24FPS International awards<\/a> saw its inception in the year 2003.<\/p>\n

With 8 teams and 40 participants the event took off for the first time in the year 2003.<\/p>\n

The grand idea behind the event was to provide an excellent stage for our MAAC students to showcase the work of brilliant young minds talent and creativity.<\/p>\n

And soon, the event gradually developed and staged into grand idea.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

24FPS International award 2019 saw an unprecedented amount of participation from MAAC students and to add there were about 1300+ external entries from 75+ countries.<\/p>\n

Since, the event is a celebration of passion put forth by the creative minds of the media and entertainment industry, we at MAAC Chowringhee, Rashbehari and Ultadanga<\/a>, are always ready to participate and pave the way of our students to the grand stage.<\/p>\n

This year too our students participated with great energy and enthusiasm in the various categories put forth in the 24FPS Participation Guidelines<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All the three centers participated in the main Stream categories which are:<\/p>\n

VFX Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n

3D Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are very proud to say that not only our students participated in the majestic event but also won accolades and recognition for their hard work and perseverance.<\/p>\n

We at MAAC Chowringhee, Rashbehari and Ultadnaga<\/a> takes great pride over the achievements of our students.<\/p>\n

Before we go ahead and revel in the glories of our students, let us take a look at what goes on behind the scene of making of an award winning masterpiece.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

The 24FPS International Awards, 2019 started with us receiving the mails intimating us of the opening of the categories and the themes and guidelines of the various categories.<\/p>\n

Teams as per the category of participation were being formed at the various centers.<\/p>\n

MAAC Chowringhee<\/a> participated in the Script To Screen category, VFX Challenge<\/a> category, UNIC and Multimedia Mania.<\/p>\n

MAAC Rashbehari<\/a> Participated in VFX Challenge, 3D Challenge, UNIC and Multimedia Mania. And MAAC Ultadanga<\/a> participated in VFX Challenge, UNIC and Multimedia Mania.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

After the formation and registration of the multiple teams came the most difficult phase,<\/p>\n

The phase of planning, plotting with brainstorming and preparatory sessions.<\/p>\n

The brainstorming sessions were quite intuitive with lots of ideas flowing in from different sources and the humongous task was to crunch them down in a presentable and compact model.<\/p>\n

But with the help of mentors the students sailed through the phase quite sucessfuly.<\/p>\n

The shooting and design phases follow shortly after the concepts have been locked down post approval from the mentors guiding the teams.<\/p>\n

This can easily be considered the basic structuring of the whole process.<\/p>\n

The designing<\/a> is followed by the modeling, background preparations and scene setup.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

Texturing and rigging start simultaneously with the basic structures in place.<\/p>\n

Whereas the designs and layout are done for multimedia<\/a> and 2D categories.<\/p>\n

After rigging there was no delay as the students jumped to the animation<\/a> procedures both in 2D and 3D<\/a> categories.<\/p>\n

After animation<\/a> the whole thing had started to come along, binding the models into place.<\/p>\n

Lighting<\/a> plays an important role to give it an enrich look and feel.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the festive season had kicked in with Durga Puja and Diwali.<\/p>\n

While enjoying the festivities of the season rendering phase was on.<\/p>\n

As soon as the rendering was completed, teams were very excited and ready for the most rewarding and final phase, i.e. compositing.<\/p>\n

Compositing<\/a> is no doubt the phase where every piece is glued together in a seamless output.<\/p>\n

With rigorous efforts from students and mentors alike the whole look and feel of the hard work, toil and expectations came around quite well.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

The whole 24FPS participation process is a learning experience.<\/p>\n

Where students explore new possibilities in the way they work, expand the horizons of their understanding of the art and innovate on the fly as they apply the newly found treasure of knowledge.<\/p>\n

At MAAC Chowringhee, Rashbehari and Ultadanga<\/a>, we never fail to appreciate and celebrate such accomplishments and achievements made by our students.<\/p>\n

So, to celebrate the homecoming of our heroes astride their victorious glory, we held congratulatory ceremony for the students both at MAAC Chowringhee<\/a> and MAAC Ultadanga<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

Hearing the students talk about their 24FPS journey<\/a> not only gives us a glimpse on what went on under the hood of the glamorous appreciation and the hard-work sleepless night behind the success stories.<\/p>\n

But this effort indeed inspires the other students to take up the step and carry forward the legacy passed down to them.<\/p>\n

We as mentors of the students can\u2019t be any less proud and elated by the progress our students marking the milestones they achieve year after year.<\/p>\n

It is a great feeling to welcome the New Year with our bags full of gifts and hearts filled with hopes and the urge to do better with every passing year.<\/p>\n
