Today\u2019s blog will cover the experiences of MAAC Rashbehari Alumni Pradyut Chowdhury who recently worked in the movie The Lion King<\/strong> as 3D Rigging Artist<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We all know that The Lion King<\/a><\/strong> directed by Jon Favreau hit the theatres all over the world in the month of July 2019 and got huge praises from the audiences across the world.<\/p>\n

Pradyut Chowdhury\u2019s contribution to The Lion King<\/a><\/strong> movie delighted each and every MAAC members.<\/p>\n

But before working as 3D<\/a> artist in The Lion King<\/a><\/strong>; Pradyut had amazing MAAC days at MAAC Rashbehari Centre.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s look into his interesting and creative career path till now.<\/p>\n

Gifted 3D Artist Of MAAC Rashbehari<\/u><\/strong><\/h1>\n

\"<\/p>\n

As you know MAAC Rashbehari is one of the reputed Institution of Animation, VFX, Multimedia and Gaming<\/a> which has covered incredible journey so far in craving extremely talented professional artists out of budding aspirants.<\/p>\n

Our alumni Pradyut Chowdhury joined MAAC Rashbehari in the year 2014 for the course Autodesk Maya<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Autodesk Maya<\/a> is a highly interactive modeling, texturing, rigging software used by professional 3D artists in the audio\/video medium.<\/p>\n

Autodesk Maya<\/a> has huge potential in animation, VFX and gaming<\/a> industry.<\/p>\n

Under this course Pradyut learned about digital sculpting<\/a>, texturing, character rigging, animation, look development, lighting, Hair and cloth simulation, rendering and skinning.<\/p>\n

Pradyut learned 3D modeling<\/a>, rigging and animation under Autodesk Maya Course<\/a> and completed it in the year 2016.<\/p>\n

During his period of learning he received full guidance of MAAC Rashbehari \u2019s dedicated teachers and guest faculty.<\/p>\n

MAAC Rashbehari \u2018s well-equipped studio helped him to learn the course in professional environment.<\/p>\n

After the course completion Pradyut Chowdhury formed a team with his fellow classmates to make an animated short film<\/a> for the 24FPS<\/a> competitive event.<\/p>\n

MAAC Rashbehari Project \u2018Ek Tu Aur Ek Main\u2019<\/u><\/strong><\/h1>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

Pradyut along with his fellow classmates formed a team called \u2018Dhichkeyaoo\u2019.<\/p>\n

This \u2018Dhichkeyaoo\u2019 team of artists prepared a short romantic animated film called \u2018Ek Tu Aur Ek Main\u2019<\/a> in the year 2015 for which they won Special Jury Award at 24 FPS<\/a> event.<\/p>\n

The above picture shows full energetic and joyful team of \u2018Dhichkeyaoo\u2019 with Pradyut at forefront.<\/p>\n

Team \u2018Dhichkeyaoo\u2019 worked for hours with patience to make their sweet and short animated film.<\/p>\n

The happy faces of the team \u2018Ek Tu Aur Ek Main\u2019 saying it loud that hard work wins at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

\"<\/p>\n

Pradyut and his team \u2018Dhichkeyaoo\u2019 won this Special Jury Award during 24 FPS International Animation Award Ceremony in the year2015 for \u2018Ek Tu Aur Ek Main\u2019<\/a> short.<\/p>\n

24 FPS<\/a> is an annual event of MAAC which selects the best animated short film every year.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

Pradyut\u2019s team used Bollywood music track in the animated short \u2018Ek Tu Aur Ek Main\u2019<\/a> .<\/p>\n

The plot of the film follows a young lover boy who after lot of hassle finally proposes a beautiful girl with a red rose flower.<\/p>\n

\"<\/p>\n

For making this short Pradyut\u2019s team \u2018Dhichkeyaoo\u2019 first designed the 3D characters<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They sketched the male protagonist, two young girls and one fat belly traffic guard.<\/p>\n

When every part of the body designing was complete then they did character rigging<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Under character rigging<\/a> each body parts were given movements according to the storyline; such as eyeball movement, hand movement, facial expressions so on.<\/p>\n

Each artist of the team \u2018Dhichkeyaoo\u2019 including Pradyut delivered their best in 3D character designing and rigging.<\/p>\n

They worked on the software Autodesk Maya<\/a> for this project \u2018Ek Tu Aur Ek Main\u2019.<\/p>\n

For background designing they constructed 3D building<\/a>s, fences, roads, bridge and trees with the software tools.<\/p>\n

Team artists even enacted some of the scenes so that 3D artist can sketch it down on the characters of 3D platform.<\/p>\n

3D lighting<\/a> and composition were also taken care of during the post-production<\/a> stage of \u2018Ek Tu Aur Ek Main\u2019.<\/p>\n

Working on this project was a challenge as well as fun for the team \u2018Dhichkeyaoo\u2019.<\/p>\n

This project prepared Pradyut Chowdhury wholly for professional expedition.<\/p>\n

Rewards Received At Esteemed MPC<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

Our gifted artist Pradyut Chowdhury is currently working at Moving Picture Company<\/a> or MPC VFX Company located at Bengaluru.<\/p>\n

He is appointed as 3D Rigging Artist at MPC and already has quite few movies to his credits.<\/p>\n

\"<\/p>\n

Pradyut has made us swoon with pride with his participation in making the milestone movie The Lion King<\/strong> as 3D Rigging Artist.<\/p>\n

Presence of Pradyut\u2019s name in the acknowledgement card is the absolute moment of joy for his mentors.<\/p>\n

Movie The Lion King<\/strong> is a 3D computer animated film with photorealistic visuals.<\/p>\n

This movie has breathtaking VFX shots which have been achieved by technically skilled and inventive team of VFX artists<\/a> and Pradyut is one of them.<\/p>\n

As 3D Rigging Artist Pradyut sculpted 3D objects<\/a> and gave movements to them.<\/p>\n

Definitely this masterpiece movie has taught many artistic lessons to him.<\/p>\n

Other than The Lion King<\/strong> he has also worked for other VFX<\/a> packed movies.<\/p>\n

\"<\/p>\n

Like X-Men<\/a> <\/strong>& Dark Phoenix<\/a><\/strong> which releases in the month of June 2019.<\/p>\n

This American superhero film has good amount of VFX shots<\/a> as well as animation techniques<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Superheroes<\/a> with their exceptional super powers in this movie are the result of magic between technology<\/a> and imagination.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

Here we can see Pradyut\u2019s name along with other VFX artists<\/a> in the credit list who delivered their best effort for this movie.<\/p>\n

\"MAAC<\/p>\n

This is another credit card for the movie Pokemon Detective Pikachu<\/a><\/strong> which has Pradyut\u2019s name mentioned.<\/p>\n

This movie too has high-end visual effects<\/a> which are completely photo-realistic.<\/p>\n

As Rigging Artist Pradyut covered character animation<\/a> for the 3D Detective Pikachu.<\/p>\n

From those huge lists of VFX artist<\/a> names we can predict the amount of VFX works in Hollywood movies.<\/p>\n

Our alumni Pradyut Chowdhury have definitely gathered many lessons through these International film project and we hope he will continue to do so in future also.<\/p>\n

Pradyut\u2019s achievement is a source of pride for all MAAC Rashbehari center\u2019s Mentors.<\/p>\n
